Transplant Series

Three drawing installations from the Transplant Series were on exhibit for a solo show at the Vox Populi gallery in Philadelphia, PA. Each piece consisted of a photograph and a charcoal drawing that were mounted and drawn directly on the gallery walls. A small light projection device was placed directly in front of each piece. These light projectors had a sort of lampshade that would spin while it projected a color onto the wall. With, Transplant - And I Was All Like... (The Valley), the blue color projected gave the feeling of clouds and sky rolling past. In Transplant - Take That Tinseltown the red beam gave the illusion of a laser beam blowing up the Hollywood sign. While Transplant - Distance is a Challenge (not pictured) a green light highlighted a stream of binary data (0's & 1's) that stretched between two figures on the wall.
